Ocean View Ensuite & Bathroom

When my clients first got in touch they were looking to reconfigure the upstairs layout to create a large master suite with a balcony, walk-in robes and adjoining ensuite. Working with the client’s architect, I came up with a new layout which achieved all the client’s wishes and even found space to add a new bar area off of their existing kitchen.

For the renovation, the clients requested a fresh and bright Hamptons style which brought in their ocean view of Rangitoto Island and relaxed beach lifestyle of their Milford property.

Walk in shower with Hamptons style tiles

Using tap-ware from ABI interiors, we created a cohesive scheme with the brushed nickel colour throughout both ensuite and guest bathroom.

Guest Bathroom

For the guest bathroom we wanted to bring in a bold Hamptons style tile, making Belrose Blue tile from Tile Cloud the perfect choice for this space.

From the client:

“Lucy was a real asset to our renovation project.  She understood the look we were after straight away.  Lucy had superb ideas for what we could do with different spaces and how we could achieve what we wanted and more.  She vastly improved the layout of rooms from what had been designed by our architect.  Lucy sourced products that were so much better than we would have found.  I have no doubt we have a far superior outcome both practically and aesthetically with a lot less effort on our parts, thanks to Lucy.   She was very easy to work with and very reasonable.  I would not hesitate to recommend Lucy to anyone wondering whether they should seek expert design assistance with a renovation.

Bar space with herringbone marble splash back

The Bar

Along with the vanities, Paterson Crafted Furniture also created this wonderful bar space to match the existing adjoining kitchen.

We matched the handles to the remaining kitchen and removed the old glass splashback. We replaced the splashback with this stunning herringbone Carrara marble in both the kitchen and bar to tie the two spaces together, making it look as though the bar had always been there.
