Huia Road Master Ensuite

This stunning midcentury modern home nestled in the heart of Titirangi was calling out for a brand new master ensuite to complement the extensive renovations already completed by the homeowners. The brief was to create an ensuite that worked in with the existing architecture of the home and to bring in the natural textures and colours of the surrounding Titirangi bushland.

For this bathroom, we kept all of the services in the same locations to avoid costly foundation trenching and instead used the existing plumbing layout to our advantage to turn this ensuite from a single basin and hardly ever used bath, into a generously sized double basin, double shower, luxury master ensuite.

We adapted the design along the way to include the HWC cupboard which couldn’t be relocated and instead made it into a feature with bespoke oak wood cabinetry to match the existing oak wood doors featured throughout the home.

This beautiful deep green 1800mm long vanity with fluted drawer fronts from Plumbline captured the mid-century modern look and brought in the natural colour of the home’s surrounding bushland.

These natural brass SO wall sconces from Nightworks were the perfect finishing touch to this bathroom, their soft curves complimented by the custom cut arched mirrors with tap-ware mounted through the glass to eliminate the need for additional tiling.
