Ruarangi Bathroom

For this bathroom I wanted to create a space that feels light and natural. By reducing clutter and relocating some services (such as the washing machine & laundry tub) out of the bathroom, we were able to achieve a spacious walk in shower, a larger wall hung vanity and a deep shelf for additional storage and styling space.

To work within budget, we kept all of the plumbing relatively in the same locations and tiled only the necessary areas. For the tile selection, I chose a natural stone look porcelain tile with a more decorative white mosaic tile to add some texture back into the space. Due to the small size of the bathroom, 1.8m x 2.4m, we followed the ‘less is more’ philosophy to make the room feel as spacious as possible.

“Lucy Helped us go from a very drab cramped 1960’s bathroom to something spacious and modern within a fairly small space, her product knowledge was good and the various options given were presented in a professional and understandable manner, with detailed drawings and 3D images.  I am so pleased Lucy suggested the Custom sliding door handles, a little extra expense but the impact and functionality surpassed our expectations.

It was so good to have Lucy deal with the Tradespeople while we were busy at work and resolve the little issues which always seem to arise when doing any renovation work.  I would definitely work with Lucy again even if it was just to get some advice on colour combinations/styling for our Lounge or Bedroom.”
